Scrapbooking Global - Stampin’ Up! - January Blog Hop - Scrap Yourself

Welcome to our January 2021 Scrapbooking Global blog hop!  Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper and Card Stock are the best scrapbooking products I have ever used.  This group ~ Scrapbooking Global - Stampin’ Up! is made up of those of us who use Stampin’ Up! products for all of our scrapbook needs and LOVE to SCRAPBOOK!

This month our Scrapbooking Global Design Team Member, Maï who is shown below, chose our THEME CHALLENGE.   Maï choose our theme of Just Me
Scrap Yourself

So, a little about me ~ I am from Columbus, Georgia, United States Of America.  I have been married to my wonderful husband, Jimmy, who is also my Stampin’ Up! supporting demonstrator, for 43 years.  We have two awesome sons who are married and have given us two beautiful grandchildren each.  I LOVE memory keeping, scrapbooking and card making!  My husband’s niece started me scrapbooking back in 2006.  Over the years, I attended classes at a local scrapbook store which eventually closed.  A few years later, a friend joined Stampin’ Up! and taught card classes.  I attended her classes and fell in love with everything Stampin’ Up!

Back in November I created a double page layout using Christmastime Is Here Designer Series Paper, Gold Foil Sheets and Wonder Of The Season Memories and More Card Pack.  Last week, I added my photo and journaling.  My matching double page layout is of my husband the same day but this is not about him today!  It is ALL about me!   Here is the two page layout before photos were added.  This is really a very simple and easy layout.  I just reversed the layout to make the matching page.

Our boys, wives and four grandchildren came December 26, 2020 and we celebrated our Jones Family Christmas.  I always cook way too much!  The family tells me if we go home hungry, it is not Mom’s fault!  I also sent lots of food home with them.  Our two youngest grandchildren stayed and spent the next week with us, and that made this GMOM, me, very happy!

This was really a very SPECIAL Christmas this year considering all that has happened since March.  Last Christmas was the last time all of our family was able to be together due to lockdowns and the fact that they did not want to pass along any unwanted virus to us.  We missed being able to celebrate birthdays, other holidays, anniversaries and our normal get togethers we usually are able to attend together.  As a Mom and GMOM, family is very important!  If it were not for my husband and I, we would not have the great family we have, of which is my pride and joy!  We taught our boys to be everything they should be and more and how to be family men and love and support their families with all of their hearts and beings.

Here I am in my Walt Disney World Christmas shirt preparing our Christmas Dinner for our awesome family!  My hair was pulled up because it is so long and looks messy.  But with all of the cooking I was doing, I refuse to let my hair loose in the kitchen!  We had chicken & dumplings, sweet potatoes, macaroni & cheese, turkey, giblet gravy, dressing, deviled eggs, green bean casserole, Hawaiian rolls, collard greens, fried okra, several pies and I made from scratch an almond pound cake and for drinks we had lemonade, water and sugar sweetened Lady Grey tea.  Our youngest daughter-in-law brought a honey-baked ham and a bourbon pecan pie.  Our oldest daughter-in-law brought a coconut cake.

Here are the products I used to make these scrapbook pages:

Maï  Chapelain is our Scrapbooking Global - Stampin’ Up! designer of the month for January 2021.  Her work is beautiful, as is she!  AND she is celebrating her birthday.  Happy Birthday!
