Valentine’s Bookmarks requested by my son for my grands for their classmate’s Valentine’s!

I used some retired products to make these bookmarks.  

As my Grands are only 7 and 5, I hope maybe this will be an inspiration for reading!  Barrett, who will be 8 in a few days, is in the 2nd grade and reads really well.  Both of my Grands are in the Dual Language Programs at their schools where their days are divided equally between English and Spanish.  Alice, just turned 5 a few days before she started kindergarten so she is one of the youngest, if not the youngest in her class.  She told me, “But we can don’t know how to read yet.”  I told her, “ You don’t have to read yet, but you will be reading really soon as smart as you & your classmates are and when the teacher gives you all a page # to look for, they could use their bookmark to help locate the page really quickly and know where to look next.”  My son said the bookmarks were a great Valentine hit!  That makes this GMOM & Mom really proud!  Reading is so important.
