Hi!
Y’all!!!!  This card taught me a few lessons.  After class, I made a couple more
cards trying to figure out which was the best way to assemble this card.  My
sample I made, I scored the cardstock using my scoring blade on my Stampin’
Up! trimmer which has 16ths.  I furnished the trimmer for the gals to do their
scoring with and while they used the SU trimmer I used my simply scored
board by Stampin’ Up! to score with that only had 8ths.  Now remember, this is
the first time I attempted this fold!  I am so thankful for patient class attendees.
They were awesome and we discussed how best to approach the assembly and
scoring of this card.  Everyone was happy with their finished cards!  Whew!
Tonight, I cut & scored my rich razzleberry base cardstock.  Next, I made sure
the floral layer was 1/4” smaller than the base.  Before I adhered that second
layer to the base, I added the ribbon on the far left side of the card.  Next, I
adhered that layer with the appropriate margin all the way round.  Then I
folded the card and used my bone folder to crease where I had first scored
the base.  No, I did not score that floral layer before adding it to the base nor
did I score any other cs or dsp I would next add! The next layer of fresh freesia
was cut and laid out with the margins the same all the way around and then
adhered making sure to slide it underneath the ribbon on the left side of the
card.  Next I cut a piece of floral DSP for the left side of the panel.  Again, I
did not score that floral piece of DSP but went ahead and adhered it to the
left side being sure to slide it under the ribbon on the left side of the card.
Then I folded and creased the fold with my bone folder where it had first
been scored.  Next I cut a piece of polka dot DSP and adhered it to the
right side of the panel.  Last I stamped the basic white cardstock with
Celebrate You at the top and at the bottom I stamped using the grass
and flower stamp and then adhered it to the right side of the panel on
the polka dot DSP.  Again I used my bone folder to crease any folds to
make them sharper.  I was better satisfied with my cards tonight using
these steps than I was with my first attempt at scoring and it fit better this way!!!!
