Sketch Challenge September 2021 # 1 Scrapbook Layout

This scrapbook page layout is a sketch challenge for 9/1/2021.  I always make double page layouts.

This is the first layout I did and the journal box is not adhered.  I decided I did not like it here on this page so I moved it as you can see in the next photo.

To me, this page looked so much better without the journal box.

On the second page of the layout, I liked the journal box here so I adhered it.  Besides, really each page needs a journal box.  

 In 2015, we enjoyed many camping trips with my husband’s niece and hubby, always referred to as the “faves”!  This camping trip carried us from Georgia to South Carolina where we camped 2-3 days and explored.  From Dreher Island, South Carolina we moved on to Wake Forest and Raleigh, North Carolina camping another 2-3 days and exploring at Falls Lake Recreation Area in Wake Forest where these memories are from.  We meandered through more states camping in Virginia until we reached our destination of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.  We had some detours as the Pope was in the US and we were routed around his destinations on two different occasions.  Our faves had to get back to Florida as he had to go back to work and they chose a route home through the mountains and hills.  They pulled a pop-up camper.  We were in our 36’ Class A RV towing our Sequoia and Jimmy choose not to take the mountainous & hilly route so we went to Hershey, PA and camped in New Jersey and went on to Atlantic City and enjoyed the Boardwalk there!  We had made reservations on the way back that included beach destinations and going through the underwater tunnel in Virginia BUT because of the hurricane brewing we had to change our route home.  Our route home carried us down Interstate 95 South where we enjoyed several camping areas and spent time in Brunswick, GA visiting family and an Uncle of mine.  On a sad note, this Uncle passed August 20, 2021 and he was a favorite of mine.  After spending several days camping in Brunswick, we went on to my Mom’s and spent a few days with her before heading home and ending almost a month of camping and traveling and enjoying sites, family, food and great camping!
