Time Away

 Hi all,

It has been a busy and fun week!  Jimmy and I decided to camp and fish and enjoy the slower side of life about 9 days or so.  We originally had reservations for another couple on two campsites.  Unfortunately, something came up and they had to back out.  This was a very legitimate and understandable change of plans for them and had it been me in their place, I would have done the same!  It did not matter who we tried to get to camp with us, they could not camp, would not camp, already had plans or just plain had excuses why they couldn’t / wouldn’t camp.  We are enjoying where we are camping and head a few miles down the road where our boat is docked and have done lots of fishing!  We both just really enjoy being out on the water whether or not we catch any fish!  As always, catching fish makes it so much more enjoyable.  Enjoy some of our memories along with us as you look at our great photos!

                                              Doesn’t this look so peaceful?

Here is a close up photo of my largest catch of that day!
                                                  My largest catch that day!
Another view of our full moon!
These are growing at the edge of the lake.  Aren’t they just beautiful?
                                                        Saturday’s catch!
                                                   Gorgeous full moon.
My precious husband of more than 43 years!
Isn’t this the most peaceful scene ever?  Jimmy and I have enjoyed many great times here and look forward to enjoying many more awesome times here!  Thanks Bubba (RIP)!
                                                   Leaving our fishing hole!
Our campfire!  Always a great way to relax.
This was the most delicious mess of catfish ever!  We caught, cleaned, went back to the campsite and fried these outside and enjoyed our fresh catch!

This is one of the larger bream we have caught while fishing here!
Now you see why we say just being on the water is so relaxing?
This was Friday’s catch.  We had to go buy another cooler!
                                              Another day’s catch.
My sweet husband and one of the biggest shellcracker’s we have caught here!
Oh yeah, this is a HUGE alligator where we are camping!  This is just his head out of the water.  He is probably close to 12’ in size.
                                        Another day of fishing completed!
My sweet fishing husband and his largest catch for that day!
This was one day’s catch!

Today we were fishing about 50’ deep and I got a huge hit!  I was bringing it in and got it to the boat and just before I was bringing it to the top of the water, it decided to say bye-bye to me….  It was a tough one and was making me work to bring it to the top of the water!  Oh well, I will remember that spot and I will be fishing there again…..

I just wanted to update you all on my lack of blogging and posting my cards these last few days.  We really needed this break.  I am so glad you decided to read my blog and share in our awesome adventures today!

So, my plan is…..  no later than October 1st, I will have more of my cards and scrapbook pages on my blog again and I will be back to my regular day to day occurrences!  Do you realize September is almost gone?  This month has flown by!
